Each pair is meticulously sculpted by hand from premium cellulose acetate. First, the raw shape is cut from a block, then filed into shape before heat is applied to manipulate the curvature. The frames are then buffed and polished by hand before undergoing an intensive tumbling process-for up to 48 hours-to achieve a flawlessly smooth, even finish. Built for durability and distinction, one of BOLD’s signature design elements is the extra thickness in the front and sides of the frame, enhancing strength while remaining lightweight. This model is constructed using robust 7-barrel rivet hinges and fitted with Carl Zeiss brown lenses, offering style and superior optical performance.
